Pedro de la Fuente

I am a university professor of Corporate Law and of Obligations, Contracts, and Companies at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, and of Corporate Reorganization in the Master's degree in Tax Law at Universidad Católica Argentina.

A lawyer by profession, I have over 20 years of experience in the practice of Business Law, with a comprehensive perspective that bridges the legal field with the strategic needs of organizations. Throughout my career, I have built a profile that combines a solid academic background, experience at top-tier firms, and an ongoing commitment to professional development.

I graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Católica Argentina and obtained a Master's degree in Business Law from Universidad Austral, where I also completed a Postgraduate Degree in Patrimonial Civil Law. I complemented my education with a continuing education program in Oil and Gas Law at Universidad de Buenos Aires, a field that consolidated my interest in the energy and natural resources sector.

My professional development has an international dimension. I participated in the 46th Academy for American and International Law at the Center for American and International Law (formerly the Southwestern Legal Foundation) and in the Summer Academy in International Law in a Changing World, a program organized by Heidelberg University (Germany) in conjunction with the Center for the Study of Law, Economics, and Politics, held in the city of Asunción, Paraguay. These experiences broadened my perspective on law in global and multidisciplinary contexts.

In recognition of my legal research work, I was distinguished by the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure of the International Bar Association, one of the most prestigious legal organizations in the world.

I currently serve as Director of Legal Affairs at PwC Argentina, where I also lead the Business and Corporate Law practice. Previously, I worked at prominent law firms in the country: Basílico, Fernández Madero & Duggan; Allende & Brea; and Rattagan, Macchiavello, Arocena & Peña Robirosa S.C. This trajectory not only provided me with a solid foundation in corporate and transactional advisory, but also refined my professional practice, enabling me to combine theoretical knowledge and practical aspects in my academic work.
